Program
- DAY 1: On your eight-day full immersion journey we will go into the Heart & Soul of Sardinia, so not to touristical places. And why? We know hidden places where the veil with the realm of natural serenity is ultra thin. These places help to reconnect inside and outside more naturally.
After placing our luggage in the van and car we go back to the Arrivals Hall and shops: a metaphor for the bustling of life. And why? We’ll highlight the first differences between observing and experiencing the old way and the new way.
Then our van and car will bring us to our first destination: the very picturesque village of Santu Lussurgiu. Also during this drive you’ll experience that it is not about the destination, but about the road. How? Inspiration is always there.
You see? Immediately during the very first few hours after meeting each other at the airport, you will have an idea of how the rest of the week will go. Against the background of beautiful nature, spectacular places, very good food, and all this in the company of fine like minded people. At a retreat like this only friendly, curious, and motivated people attend. Not people that are interested solely in shopping.
At night you’ll enjoy a full local produce dinner in a typical, centuries-old mansion, located down winding hidden alleys. The food is high-quality local cuisine, a great start indeed, and the romantic glow of streetlights makes the walk back home after dinner extra meditative.
Also the dining could be a place of practice to, about the difference between eating the good-old way and… a more relaxing way. It is in small simple and oh so rich details.
- DAY 2: The first breakfast of the week will be as locals do, with some additions: first “al bar”, at the local café, just like the locals do; and then in the cute green park, enjoying a surprisingly simple but oh so important local ingredient, pristine mountain spring water that flows from all the taps of this village. Here we will talk about frequency of things & food, and brain frequency. And the usefulness and in real life applications of seeing the relationship between those frequencies.
Talking about frequency and harmony: today we will meet a master musician, who will present and play traditional ánd invented instruments of the region he has made by hand. Can he say something about the pressure of having to perform? Can he talk also about his way of staying in a meditative state? Our relationship with outside pressure is…? Trust on it: he is a very special master in his field and his medicinal elixirs and potions are most interesting and healing too. Ah, healing, medicine: how can we ‘“fine-tune”our relationship towards taking medicines, whether they are natural or not?
You see? Practical examples, references to your daily situations in a hasty superficial way…, they are everywhere, to address, throughout all our days in this Sardinian universe, far,far away, but also so close. We do not follow a fixed structure, so we mirror the situation when you are back home: unexpected situations occur and then you’ll know how to choose how you react.
Ah, and Mondo, the musician, also would like us to taste his wine. But we’ll skip that, taking it with us to our lunch picnic, under just one of the many magnificent cork oaks that Sardinia boasts. It stands next to a superb prehistoric stone tower complex, three millennia old at least. Sardinia has many surprising 5D places that come from a truly mysterious prehistory. All of it very, very interesting history of course, but also here we could see and feel the difference between old and new experience: how to react when interpreting information? The great thing of experiencing both old and new ways is that we help ourselves to be able to choose more often consciously between the two. Especially when you are back home, not only just when you are on vacation.
During our visits we have writing material, voice recordings and other means of expression, registration, information, internalization. Although the days can be quite rich, we will keep a relaxed attitude, more easily; we’re getting better at experiencing more and more in the new way, not anymore mainly in the usual old way, that we all know so well.
We will dine in a farmstead in the so-called Iron Hills, on a ranch that is owned by a family where the women cook only their local produce and meat. The local olive oil, the seasonal products, the natural environment…. Again this is not the standard touristical restaurant at all. Here you taste real freshness and proudness. The territory you’re in is of the quaint village of Santu Lussurgiu, surrounded by lush green hills, famous for its aria buona and acqua buona: good air, also socially, and good water, from the famous fresh healthy springs of the area; that water also comes out of your shower every morning.
- DAY 3: After breakfast, we will set off for our second destination where we will stay one night, because it’s so dangerous (NOT!): the hospitable and once ‘invincible’ mountainous area that the Romans called Barbagia. (‘Those Barbarians… Wouldn’t let themselves be romanized!’) We visit the village nearby, full of tributes to Freedom Fighters internationally; you will see their mural paintings not only because they are nice, but because all those people, individually or in a group, as freedom fighters, had the courage to be different. See the metaphor for people staying in the good old state, like everybody else does, normally, and people, like you, daring to stay more and more in the meditative state! What does it take? And would it indeed give freedom, and what kind of then?
All this enjoying a spectacular view on the lake; there we have a great lunch picnic, we feel directly around us that Connection with the Divine is the objective. Luckily we can “see”this is really close to the divine here!
Dinner will be in a family run farm that will cook specially for us, led by La Nonna, the grandmother. The road to the agriturismo quickly took us deep Into the Sardinian Wild, where you will feel immersed in Sardinian authenticity and hospitality. We sleep in the village, in an agriturismo in the centre. If the famous women choir practices, we will go and hear them in th historic cathedral. These women are used to performing internationally: how would women address pressure from the environment – public – differently from men?
- DAY 4: We will set off to the village of Oliena, where we will sleep in a mountain hotel with fantastic view over the valley. This is the village of the master embroiderers, of papal level, and of course we will visit their workshop. They are all gentle, talented women, working in a serene atmosphere: do they feel work like str4ess or… what do they do? What about feeling bad with the result or doubts, extra errors? Tricks? Suggestions? Inspiration? Exchange! And of course it is a pleasure to be there and admire their fabulous work of sheer beauty.
You have the picture now: everything around us this week can be so meaningfully inspiring. And now so will things around you be as well, from now on. You will be a master in seeing things from this viewpoint too, from now on, enabling you to make conscious choices that are even super healthy! Talking about the health aspect of the Blue Zones: we are in a Blue Zone certified area here, but let us address the nine Blue Zone success factors tomorrow.
Tonight dinner will be in a fabulous home restaurant, serving a menu with recipes coming from a proud local literature source from over a century ago. Enjoy poems being read in between the courses, and locally made wine which s famous for not getting us drunk or hung over, surprisingly.
- DAY 5: So today we stay in this beautiful Blue Zone area, after having been really tempted last night to forget about eating in 3D versus 5D… We’ll go to a luscious place that oozes constant serene determination: a cool river keeps on flowing out of the mountain. It literally is a gorgeous place indeed. It’s here that we discuss all 9 Blue Zone success elements and – even more important – how to approach them in the state that we are practicing this week, and why, and how to keep that alive back home more easily?
Indeed, this week is not just fun and beauty, it’s also about harmony, serenity, connection, inspiration, resulting in better health. Because that’s what Blue Zone is about: not the quantity but the quality. The aspects that we look at are social, mental and physical, you will do yourself a great favor honouring them in our new state.
This day we sleep in our mountain hotel again, and dine there. Relaxed, happy, and healthy.
- DAY 6: Our road trip deep into the heart and soul of Sardinia takes us to our third home away from home. On our way there we will stop in a village where they found small but spectacular statuettes of “giant’s”, beings with extra forces and capacities. How would it feel to consider having more of those too? What prevents that, and how could we open to it more, keeping it simple and acceptable? Step by step? Help from somewhere?
The agriturismo (homestead) is idyllically set, serves great food and… is not so far from one of the most impressive sites of Giant’s Graves on Sardinia. Giants? Sleeping Giants – are we that? – perhaps about to stop sleeping? Also this visit is not just nice: it’s inspiration to stand up for this new present meditative state more, and stop ‘resting’ the old way. Application in various forms!
- DAY 7: On our way back closer to the finish place Cagliari, we will visit an impressive statue of an angel with a sword. That’s us, with the courage to from now on deal with some ‘limiting’ aspects in the good old life, making it easier for new state aspects to come through anyway. What could you be cutting away? And how to do even that in the new state, vesus the good old one?
We will go back to Cagliari later in the day, checking in in the hotel to grab a towel to go to the beach. Can we pply what we have learned even to floating? Surrender! And swimming, staying in the water? Or just lying on the beach even? Everything is potentially inspiring! Much more situations than we have mentioned so far.
We dine in a restaurant in the old Fishermen’s Quarter, full of shops, ideal to feel the difference between the first day that we experienced ‘hustle and bustle’and the last days. And of course it’s all enjoyable and beautiful too. But also meaningful.
- DAY 8: Depending on your outgoing flight time or other plans we visit several ‘stress or relax’-places in Cagliari. In what sense would they be recognisable back home in your country or town or village too? How will life be after this special Sardinia experience? You can be sure we will keep in touch after this, if you like, keeping alive the core of the experiences. So also after this week we’ll be in touch about how to let 5D – because that is what we have been talking about – as opposed to 3D – become more and more a normality, reality.
LEARN TO RECOGNISE INSPIRATION ON TO CHOOSE BETWEEN LIVING IN 5D (ALPHA) AND 3D (BETA)
Imagine eight days exploring an island that – mind you! – ancient Sumerian, Egyptian and Greek sources called “Paradise”! Just the island to re-discover and get comfortable with our own contribution to Paradise, a 5D instead of our good old 3D world. For Sardinia is as small as New Hampshire, but it ‘happens’ to be dotted with literally thousands of inspiring and still mysterious stone sites, great places to talk in liberating freedom. There and possibly literally anywhere we see Sardinian situations that we connect to daily situations – read challenges 🙂 too. And of course we taste delicious food, all locally produced and prepared, with pride. Everything can be turned into practice: eating, walking, driving, sleeping, meditating, visiting sites, talking to people, talking to yourself, and much much more. It’s everywhere, and help is also everywhere. You learn how to open more to that help, and is it really useful, so worth the try to surrender to it? Or is this 3D-thinking again… Indeed, everything can inspire.
We will do this in a compact group of new ‘old’ friends on a beautiful adventure. The group size is kept small also to be flexible, with attention for the group’s energy. You will also enjoy non-touristic high level cultural expressions that make this Island of Myths so special indeed.
Does this resonate with you too? Then do join us on this adventure with a small group of like-minded people, all with their hearts still open and willing to contribute to a 5D life and world. Delighted to have you join us on a rejuvenating mission!
HIGHLIGHTS
Your hosts will be Ashley Gray and Samuele Pitzalis. Ashley is a restaurant owner in Fairhope, Alabama: Locals. She joined a retreat week led by Samuele last September and fell in love with Sardinia’s food too :). Two weeks after the retreat she came back to Sardinia, personally trying and selecting the venues that we visit. She works together with Samuele, official tour operator on Sardinia, now in love with Alabama too. 🙂
In a special home restaurant you will enjoy traditional Sardinia home cooking, with recipes and wine coming from the books of a turn of the 19th Century Nobel Prize for Literature winner. Between the courses: beautiful poetry, translated for you. We share the long table with friendly and equally delighted Sardinians, Italians, internationals. Food inspires and unites too!
One of the restaurants is hidden high in the hills, the vegetables are strictly local, the pasta is as fresh as can be, the ladies in the kitchen are experts on rich simplicity: flavors, traditions, own farm produce, the views are fantastic, we will be far away from mankind, in safety of course. You see this picture of the dining area in not just a camp site; you will remember this place. You get only special picks this week.
Sardinia’s variety and density of sacred sites is unique in the world. Many believe the island, in its ancient past, to have been a place of “spiritual wellness”, regardless of what present day archaeologists declare. Not coincidentally Sardinia is also the cradle of the Blue Zone philosophy, which details the lifestyle attributed to the high number of healthy centenarians. There are nine key lifestyle factors that we illustrate and that – depending on your openness to it – can experience for ourselves on the tour. Great places anyway to consider divine connection, and perhaps indeed magical collaboration.
The master musician we visit will demonstrate the traditional three-cane instrument Launeddas, with its multi-tone sound. This instrument is already represented in bronze statuettes dating at least 4000 years ago: it’s unique to Sardinia. He will also demonstrate several peculiar inventions, and he happens to be the medicine man of the village, making potions and liquors and wine and olive oil from local herbs and fruits. This will be such a healthy visit, and a heart warming one too.
All meals are included in this tour: breakfast, lunch and dinner, from healthy picnics to only local farmstead restaurants. The meals are prepared with locally sourced organic produce with rich mineral content. Sardinia is an ancient volcanic island, the volcanic lava and ash deposits have enriched the soil with nutrients and minerals, making it fertile for agriculture. And the recipes? Tested, refined, for generations.
Imagine visiting such a ceremonial entrance hall and several caverns deeper into the rock? The hall has great acoustics and the prehistoric carvings are simply rich in their symbolism. Come experience these sites so full of energy, on our tour! Sure you can experience them as a tourist, only taking picturs, but these are of course great places for meditaion, visualisation, facilitating connection to the divine. Who knows what comes up in these places that are also just beautiful by themselves? They are left to us by a high-level native culture with origins still unknown, really.
An example of a stone tower from prehistory dotted all over Sardinia. A mistery still. We can go inside too! But imagine also being on top of it, and perhaps even with well-chosen music under the stars. We aim for beauty, love, joy nd light, also coming from ourselves!
We have selected our accommodations for their purity and local friendliness, not for being internationally mainstream. Always with a score of at least 9 out of 10 on Booking platforms, but we cannot disclose the exact venues, because they are small-scale and we like to keep our participants all together.
A view on the romantically lit first village where we stay. For the rest: trust on us! We are sure you have the picture by now?
